Welcome to the George Washington Unit
Here you will find all the activities for the unit on George Washington. Direct yourself to the navigation bar at the top of the website. There are three main lists that you need to know about for this unit.
- The first list is titled "Required Activities." These four activities must be completed by the end of the unit. The four main activities cover Washington's presidency and the problems he faced.
- Then there is a list of "Extension Activities." These three activities are to be completed if the four required activities are finished before the time is up for the unit. The three extension activities cover the legacy Washington left behind in American History.
- Lastly, you have the "Blogs" list. Here you will find a message boards assigned to your sections that you will use for some of the activities. There will be questions or prompts posted on these pages for you to respond.
At the top of each activity, there will be a list at the top of needed materials. Some activities require you to grab a worksheet from the teacher. Others may ask you to access the blog to respond to a question. Always read the directions to make sure you are completing the task correctly.
You may see words in red. These are key vocabulary words that you may not know the meaning. By clicking on the word, it will take you to the list of definitions.
There is also a page with all of the copies of the worksheets for the unit. If you lose the one from class or were absent, check out the page under the "Home" to download/print off another copy.
